Dear New Speaker of the House Boehner:
You’re not fooling anyone. Everyone knows your name is really pronounced Boner. Since when does an oe sound like a long a? Oe is a digraph in English and represents the /oʊ/ sound like in hoe and sometimes the /u/ sound as in shoe. Woe not way, foe not fay, and toe not tay.
Also Joe not Jay. And Poe not Pay. And probably a bunch of other ones, including Boner not Bayner.
So what I’m trying to tell you is if you’re going to act as Speaker of the House, you’d better learn how to speak.
